Vice President of Finance and Operations (Candidates can be based anywhere in the U.S.)

• Lead finance and operations functions, partnering with senior leadership and the Board to set strategic direction and ensure financial health.
• Oversee accounting, grants management, financial planning, analysis, operations, and compliance.
• Drive financial and operational planning, including annual budget development and medium to long-term planning.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, optimize systems, and support international expansion.

This role ensures the financial health and operational excellence of Mighty Earth, enabling the organization to effectively advocate for nature protection and climate change mitigation.

• At least 10 years of finance and accounting experience in a nonprofit setting, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity for a finance department.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to partner with CEO, Chief of Staff, and Board.
• Experience with fund accounting, cloud-based billing and expense management systems, and international context.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills; commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 per year. Generous benefits package including group health insurance, dental benefits, unlimited vacation time, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan.
