Vice President of Finance and Operations (Candidates can be based anywhere in the U.S.)

• Lead the finance and operations functions, providing strategic direction and ensuring the financial health of Mighty Earth.
• Oversee accounting, grants management, financial planning, analysis, operations, and compliance.
• Build and nurture a high-performing finance organization, coordinating closely with program staff and developing financial literacy across the organization.
• Partner with senior leadership and the Board to set strategic direction and support high-impact advocacy work.

This role ensures the financial health and operational excellence of Mighty Earth, enabling the organization to effectively advocate for environmental protection and climate action.

• At least ten years of finance and accounting experience in a nonprofit setting, with a minimum of five years in a leadership capacity for a finance department.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and grants management.
• Experience with fund accounting, cloud-based billing and expense management systems, and working in an international context.
• Commitment to working with diverse backgrounds and interest in protecting the environment.

Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000. Generous benefits package including group health insurance, dental benefits, unlimited vacation time, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan.
