Mission
What you will drive
- Manage, supervise, lead, and engage in all aspects of litigation and litigation-related advocacy, including case development, legal research, client counseling, motions practice, discovery, and policy advocacy.
- Collaborate with IRAP staff across departments to ensure litigation supports policy, legal services, and communications work.
- Represent IRAP in external relationships with advocates, pro bono firms, media, and donors.
- Participate in organizational tasks such as hiring committees and cross-departmental task forces.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Law degree and license to practice law in the U.S. state from which the candidate will work; willingness to apply for New York bar if moving to NY.
- Three or more years of relevant legal experience after law school, including substantial federal court litigation experience.
- Prior experience working with marginalized and/or displaced communities preferred; experience using interpreters for client communications preferred.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills; additional languages (Arabic, Dari, Farsi, Haitian Creole, Pashto, Somali, Spanish) a plus.
