Urban Wildlands Staff Attorney

• Work with frontline communities and conservation organizations in coalitions to protect vulnerable ecosystems and oppose destructive projects.
• Identify, develop, and litigate cases and administrative actions to further campaign goals.
• Draft legal comments on proposed rules and environmental review documents, and advocate for conservation policies.
• Engage in media advocacy and public outreach to raise awareness and build relationships with partners.

This role protects wildlife and habitats vulnerable to unsustainable development while advocating for healthy and climate-resilient communities, contributing to biodiversity conservation and environmental justice.

• Law school graduate admitted to California state bar.
• Minimum two years of civil litigation experience.
• Excellent writing, communication, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Familiarity with environmental laws (CEQA, NEPA, ESA, Clean Water Act) preferred.

Salary range: $72,500 - $89,500.
