UIC Policy Analyst (Part-Time)

• Review information related to geologic settings, site characterization, injection wells, and other aspects of subsurface injection projects.
• Conduct background research and literature reviews of subsurface processes and site-specific geologic investigations.
• Research and write high-quality deliverables for clients.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for Cadmus project staff.

This role supports the U.S. EPA in regulating subsurface injection operations, including carbon geologic sequestration, to protect groundwater and the environment, contributing to climate change mitigation and water resource preservation.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a natural science field (e.g., environmental science, geology, or earth science) and at least 10-12 years experience in environmental engineering.
• Working understanding of Underground Injection Control regulations, especially related to geologic sequestration wells.
• Fluency in MS Office applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
