How to Apply for Two-Year Sr. Project Manager
at Earthjustice
๐ข About Earthjustice
Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit environmental law organization, wielding legal expertise to protect the planet and combat climate change. Working here means joining a mission-driven team that has a proven track record of landmark victories, from safeguarding public lands to holding polluters accountable. If you're passionate about using your project management skills for environmental justice, this is the place.
About This Role
As a Two-Year Sr. Project Manager, you'll lead complex tech implementation projects that directly support Earthjustice's legal and advocacy work. You'll be the linchpin between technical teams and organizational goals, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. This role is critical because it enables Earthjustice to operate efficiently and scale its impact in the fight for a healthy environment.
๐ก A Day in the Life
Your day might start with a stand-up meeting with the technical team to review progress on a new case management system, followed by a vendor call to discuss a delayed deliverable. After lunch, you'd update project plans in Asana, then meet with a legal team to prioritize features for an upcoming release. You'd end the day by documenting risks and sending a status report to stakeholders.

๐ Tips for Applying to Earthjustice
Tailor your resume to highlight experience with hybrid/agile tech implementation projects, especially any involving vendor management and RFI/RFP processes.
In your cover letter, explicitly connect your project management achievements to Earthjustice's missionโe.g., how you helped a previous organization increase efficiency or reduce costs to further their cause.
Use the application to demonstrate your organizational skills: submit a clean, well-structured PDF with clear headings and bullet points.
Research Earthjustice's recent cases or initiatives and mention one in your cover letter to show genuine interest.
If you have experience with remote work tools and distributed teams, highlight thatโsince this is a remote role.
โ๏ธ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter
['Emphasize your experience with hybrid and agile project management in tech implementation, as this is specifically required.', 'Highlight your vendor management skills, including any experience leading RFI/RFP processes and overseeing external deliverables.', 'Show how your leadership and communication skills have helped remove roadblocks and keep projects on track in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.', "Express your alignment with Earthjustice's mission and your desire to use your PM skills to support environmental justice."]
