Mission
What you will drive
Water security is one of Africa's defining challenges — and this role puts you at the center of solving it. The Nature Conservancy's Nature for Water Facility is scaling watershed investment programs across the continent, aiming to launch 50+ "lighthouse landscapes" by 2030. We're looking for an Engagement Manager to lead that charge.
You'll partner with a Science Manager to run place-based projects end to end: shaping project scope, mobilizing multidisciplinary teams, building the financial and economic case for investment, and presenting results to stakeholders who can turn plans into funded action. It's a rare mix of strategy, finance, and hands-on conservation impact — with real travel, real influence, and a real mission behind it.
You bring: 6+ years leading complex projects in unstructured environments, financial modeling or business-case chops, and the ability to manage teams across cultures and geographies.
Where: This is a REMOTE role, flexible across Angola, Gabon, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, or Zambia — wherever TNC has an established office.
Why it matters: This is a 2-year mission-driven role at the intersection of finance and nature — for someone who wants their work to outlast the job title.
About this posting: Mycela is a third-party recruiting partner working on behalf of The Nature Conservancy to fill this role. Learn more about us at https://mycela.org/. Candidates who apply through this posting will first be screened by Mycela; qualified applicants are then referred to TNC's hiring team for further consideration.
