Thriving Communities Rural & Remote Program Officer

• Serve as liaison between the TCGM program and the RE-AMP Network, managing and supporting up to 35 grantees.
• Build and maintain relationships with grantees, respond to inquiries, and revise budgets/work plans to meet federal guidelines.
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and budgets; provide technical assistance and write grant progress reports.
• Collaborate with partners to respond to federal grant changes and identify program risks.

This role strengthens the capacity of underserved rural communities to address environmental and public health challenges, advancing equitable climate solutions in the Midwest.

• Experience working in and with rural communities in the Midwest.
• Experience with federal grants, particularly through the EPA.
• Project management experience and excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and ability to work independently within a team.

Full-time temporary position with planned start July 1, initial term of 4 months, potential extension to September 30, 2027. Remote within the RE-AMP region. Some travel required.

RE-AMP is a collaborative network of over 120 nonprofits and foundations across ten Midwestern states working to equitably eliminate greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 through collective strategy and collaboration on climate solutions.
