Mission

What you will drive

  • Translate communications strategy into social, email, Signal, web, and other content that is polished, professional, and engaging.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar with a campaign mindset, mapping out news events, activation moments, and amplification requests.
  • Create and publish visual and written content at volume, including 5-10 posts per week on social channels, video scripts, website updates, and email/Signal updates to members.
  • Track media mentions, online news, and social media trends to measure impact and identify opportunities for recruitment and amplification.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • At least 3 yearsโ€™ experience owning the creation of simple graphics, social media posts, and/or public-facing written communications, with demonstrable skill creating polished, impactful graphics and writing persuasively for a public audience.
  • Excellent writer who can move between social media, video script, and email voices with ease; experience writing for traditional press, digital communications, and digital member communications.
  • Ability to use and navigate Google Suite, and familiarity with basic digital security practices or willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to elevating the ideas, concerns, voices, and leadership of historically marginalized groups, particularly people of color, queer and trans people, early-career artists, and working class people.

Benefits

What's in it for you

Total compensation range: $90,000-100,000 (includes $10,000 healthcare stipend). This is a full-time, 40h/week contract (1099) position. Benefits include generous paid vacation (15 flexible days + week-long winter break), all Federal holidays (12/year), and 5 paid sick days per year. Remote-first organization with some national travel (1-2/year).
