About This Role

As a Systems Engineer III, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for the architecture, implementation, and security of SCS's infrastructure, with a focus on Azure cloud environments. This role is impactful as you'll directly support the technology that enables SCS's global certification efforts, ensuring reliability and security. A typical day might start with a stand-up meeting with your team and then diving into a project, such as designing a new Azure resource deployment or troubleshooting a performance issue. You might spend time reviewing security logs or working with a managed service provider to resolve an incident, and later mentor a junior engineer on best practices for infrastructure automation. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with other departments to ensure systems support their certification workflows, always keeping an eye on uptime and security.

🎯 Who SCS Global Services Is Looking For

  • Knowledgeable about IT operations, including system monitoring, backup/disaster recovery, and identity management, with a proactive approach to security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, capable of making strategic technical decisions and documenting them clearly.
