The Software Program Management Office (SW PMO) is central to executing Lime’s software roadmap and achieving critical business objectives. Operating at the intersection of cross-functional organizations and complex technical architecture, we own data-driven outcomes from conception to delivery.
We are strategic thinkers who excel at anticipating risks, resolving ambiguity, and securing stakeholder alignment. While we operate at a high strategic level, we are equally equipped to dive deep into technical specifications when necessary. We are passionate about operational excellence and dedicated to building scalable, predictable frameworks across the global business.
We are seeking an experienced Staff Technical Program Manager to spearhead the cross-functional strategy and execution of large-scale, highly complex programs that define the future of our global software infrastructure. In this role, you will drive initiatives that directly impact platform availability, resiliency, horizontal scaling, and cost efficiency. You do not just manage timelines; you possess the deep technical acumen required to evaluate architectural decisions, identify systemic risks, and align cross-functional engineering teams around a unified technical vision.
This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in Canada to maintain effective collaboration across teams.
What You'll Do:
Infrastructure Strategy & Execution
Lifecycle Ownership: Lead cross-functional development from concept to delivery, overseeing software deliverables & improving the delivery lifecycle across cross-organizational teams.
Stakeholder alignment: Align & influence key partners in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Product, and Finance to drive roadmap planning and execution of large-scale infrastructure programs.
Stakeholder & Risk Management
Proactive Mitigation: Take deep ownership of program outcomes by anticipating technical risks, mapping complex dependencies, resolving ambiguity, and eliminating blockers.
Executive Visibility: Deliver clear, data-driven, and high-signal updates to senior leadership regarding program health, milestone status, risk management, and change control.
Engineering & Operational Excellence
Process Optimization: Design and streamline organizational mechanisms that increase delivery velocity, efficiency, and engineering best practices.
Reliability Focus: Partner with engineering teams to operationalize & improve company-wide availability guardrails (SLAs/SLOs) and facilitate rigorous post-incident root-cause analyses to maximize uptime and reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR).
Capacity & Cost Optimization
Financial Stewardship: Drive infrastructure cost efficiency by establishing automated cloud-spend monitoring, powering engineering teams to own & optimize their respective spend, and orchestrating targeted cost-reduction initiatives.
Technical Leadership
Talent Mentorship: Mentor & develop within the program management function, raising the bar and standard for the role.
Architecture Translation: Bridge the gap between high-level business requirements and deep architectural decisions.
About You:
7+ years of technical program management experience with focus on cloud infrastructure, reliability, or platform engineering at scale.
Proven track record of managing large, multi-team software programs across globally distributed organizations and distinct time zones.
Strong technical background with experience in facilitating discussions & contributing to design decisions surrounding back-end architectural systems and platform ecosystem scaling.
Exceptional written & verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical details across technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to influence teams without authority, effectively manage competing priorities, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience as a Software Developer (SWE/SDE), Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or DevOps Engineer.
Deep familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, global telemetry/monitoring tooling, and distributed database scaling.
Prior experience driving large-scale migrations & decoupling efforts from monolithic backend databases & codebases.
Experience leveraging AI technologies or automated tooling within engineering workflows to improve developer velocity and lifecycle tracking.
Strong product acumen to effectively champion platform infrastructure initiatives and translate technical achievements into tangible business value.
