How to Apply for Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer - Cabin Experience
at Glydways
๐ข About Glydways
Glydways is reimagining public transit with a network of carbon-neutral, autonomous vehicles on dedicated roadways, offering on-demand, 24/7 mobility without heavy infrastructure costs. Unlike traditional transit agencies, Glydways combines hardware and software to deliver high capacity and exceptional user experience, aiming to make mobility a gateway to opportunity. Working here means contributing to a mission-driven, sustainable future where your software directly impacts how communities move.
About This Role
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Cabin Experience team, you'll own the full stack of applications that passengers interact with inside autonomous vehicles, from embedded displays to backend services. You'll work at the intersection of hardware and software, ensuring a seamless, intuitive experience that defines the Glydways rider journey. This role is critical to delivering the exceptional user experience that sets Glydways apart from traditional transit.
๐ก A Day in the Life
You'll start with a stand-up to align with the team on priorities, then dive into coding a new feature for the in-cabin display, such as a dynamic route map or passenger controls. Later, you might collaborate with hardware engineers to test performance on a prototype vehicle, or review backend API designs to ensure seamless data flow. You'll also spend time debugging issues reported from field tests and iterating on user feedback to enhance the rider experience.
