Staff Software Engineer, Billing Platform

• Design, build, and scale Crusoe Cloud’s billing platform, including usage metering, pricing models, invoicing, and payment integrations.
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and auditability of billing data and workflows; develop real-time and batch processing pipelines for usage tracking and cost calculation.
• Build APIs and services for transparent customer insights into usage and spend; partner with Finance and Product teams to support new pricing models and product launches.
• Mentor engineers, lead design discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions for long-term scalability.

By building a reliable and transparent billing platform, you enable Crusoe to power AI workloads efficiently while ensuring accurate and fair billing, supporting the company's mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence.

• 5+ years of software development experience with backend languages such as Go, Java, Rust, or C++.
• Experience building billing, payments, metering, or financial systems (or similarly complex high-integrity data systems).
• Distributed systems expertise with strong data consistency guarantees; familiarity with real-time and batch data processing, event-driven architectures, and data modeling for financial systems.
• Strong ownership mindset, cross-functional collaboration skills, and experience mentoring engineers.
