Staff Engineer, AI Developer Experience (Remote, US)

• Lead the evolution of AI Developer Experience, enabling engineers to safely and effectively leverage AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive evaluation, adoption, and governance of AI development tooling, ensuring practical, secure, and measurable adoption.
• Measure and improve developer workflow speed across TypeScript/Node and Python codebases, including build times, linting, and testing.
• Own devcontainer strategy, shared internal libraries, and developer-facing test infrastructure.

This role accelerates the development of software that powers the largest residential virtual power plant in North America, enabling energy savings and cleaner energy for millions of homes.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful time on developer tooling, platform engineering, or developer productivity.
• Deep familiarity with TypeScript/Node and Python ecosystems.
• Experience with monorepo tooling (Nx or similar) and devcontainer-based development environments.
• Practical experience evaluating and integrating AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, Codex).

• Full-time position with competitive salary: $170k - $220k base, plus 15% target annual bonus and long-term incentive programs.
