Southeast Iowa Canvass Director

• Recruit, hire, and train canvassers to effectively conduct door-to-door conversations.
• Manage turf cutting, assignment, and analyze canvasser performance using VAN and other tools.
• Ensure quality control, scheduling, and timely payment of canvassers.
• Complete at least one canvass shift per week and coordinate transportation logistics.

This role directly engages Iowans on critical water pollution and cancer crises, building grassroots power to hold corporate polluters accountable and advance clean water solutions.

• At least one election cycle of canvassing experience (electoral or issue organizing).
• Familiarity with VAN or similar voter database tool.
• Strong verbal and written communication and time management skills.
• Interest in Food & Water Watch issues and commitment to social change.

Salary: $45,000 - $53,300 per year. Benefits include 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision; 403b retirement plan with employer contribution; accrued vacation and sick time; paid federal holidays and winter break.
