We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our Operations Platform team, where you will be instrumental in powering our global success. In this position, you will optimize essential business processes and develop systems fundamental to our daily performance. Your work will span across operational tooling for vehicle repair quality, asset logistics, data management, and warehouse efficiency, ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest quality.
In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative backend solutions that scale our global fleet, ensuring our operations run smoothly across diverse locations. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our operations, with your contributions being felt across the entire company.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about urban transportation, excited to innovate, and eager to scale solutions that make a difference on a global scale.
This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in Canada to maintain effective collaboration across teams.
What You'll Do:
Lead projects with the collaboration of other engineers, product managers, and operations to successfully deliver on key objectives
Contribute to the technical direction and engineering quality of the team with the ability to identify, define, and solve technical problems in the form of maintaining engineering standards and influencing technical decisions
Scrutinize and reason clearly about the technology and architecture choices we make. In many cases, you will be the decider of these decisions
Troubleshooting and full-cycle incident response (mitigation, correction, prevention)
Mentor other engineers promoting engineering excellence and a culture of feedback giving
Participate in building Lime’s team by performing software engineering interviews
Contribute to shaping overall engineering culture at the company
About You:
5+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of building and maintaining high-quality software that deliver business impact
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Experience conducting code reviews and implementing best practices to ensure scalable and maintainable code
Experience working on scalable and robust system architectures
Ability to provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and quality engineering
Preferred Experience:
Ruby in Rails
The base salary range listed reflects what Lime reasonably expects to offer for this role, with the final base salary determined by objective factors such as the candidate’s location and relevant skills and experience. Depending on the position, the total compensation package may also include discretionary annual performance bonus opportunities and equity, subject to applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.
