Mission

What you will drive

  • Design and develop backend services supporting residential battery programs, building against industry-standard energy protocols such as OpenADR, IEEE 2030.5, and related smart grid communication standards.
  • Develop and maintain client-facing REST APIs and backend logic, ensuring proper security and data protection.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and OEMs to improve requirements, software quality, and enable new product capabilities.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience building against industry energy specifications such as OpenADR, IEEE 2030.5, OCPP, or similar smart grid/DER communication standards.
  • Experience with the Java/Spring ecosystem and expertise in RESTful web APIs.
  • Knowledge of modern security best practices, authentication/authorization frameworks, and system/API hardening.
