Senior Software Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain complex enterprise-scale Java applications, including backend and full-stack features using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases.
• Support modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems to modern, cloud-ready architectures and microservices-based designs.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers, and contribute to Agile/Scrum processes.

This role contributes to Eurofins' mission of providing high-quality laboratory testing services by building robust, scalable software systems that support scientific data processing and analytical workflows, ultimately enabling better health and safety outcomes.

• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases (SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Proficiency in object-oriented design, design patterns (SOLID, OOP), and clean coding practices.
• Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks (JUnit, Mockito), performance profiling, and JVM tuning.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, Azure cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and DevOps practices.
