Senior Software Engineer

• Design, manage, and optimize document-based distributed databases (Azure Cosmos DB and MongoDB) for large-scale, cloud-native systems.
• Build automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and scaling of database infrastructure.
• Implement data lifecycle management including backup/restore, TTL policies, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to design data access layers and API integrations.

By ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient database systems, this role supports Eurofins' bio/pharmaceutical testing services that contribute to global health and safety through quality assurance of medical products.

• 5–8 years in database engineering, architecture, or backend data systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Azure Cosmos DB and MongoDB in production.
• Deep understanding of Cosmos DB (partition key design, RU/s provisioning, indexing, consistency models) and MongoDB (replica sets, sharding, aggregation pipelines).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
