Senior Software Developer

• Drive the architecture and evolution of Xylem's enterprise Customer Identity and Access Management platform, transitioning to a modern Policy-as-Code authorization model.
• Participate in an active dual-domain identity migration and evolve a hybrid RBAC/ABAC authorization model serving a global portfolio of customer-facing digital products.
• Contribute to developer experience by defining Golden Path integration patterns for OAuth2/OIDC, and drive an internal operations console from prototype to production.
• Support security, compliance, and risk by implementing technical controls mapped to SOC2 and NIST 800-53 in alignment with Zero Trust principles.

This role directly contributes to Xylem's mission of solving critical water challenges by building secure, scalable identity infrastructure that enables digital solutions for water conservation, reuse, and smart metering globally.

• 7+ years in software engineering with experience in complex, multi-team platform environments.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Java and Spring Boot in a production microservice context.
• Foundational understanding of security principles including authentication, authorization, token-based identity, and secure API design.
• Experience with identity providers (Keycloak, Okta, Auth0, Entra ID, or similar) and familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC concepts.
