Mission

What you will drive

  • Conduct and lead policy work within state-level policy campaigns to support positive legislative or administrative actions and stop or mitigate negative actions.
  • Develop understanding of state legal and administrative environments to analyze policy proposals and identify opportunities for proactive change.
  • Conduct rapid analysis of complex policy issues, including legislative proposals and court rulings, delivering clear written and verbal analysis and recommendations.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on policy portfolio, prepare policy briefs and advocacy materials, and advocate for reforms in meetings and hearings.

  • Legal background required to assist in navigating regulatory frameworks and policy impacts.
  • Subject matter interest in Responsive Gov core policy issues: voting/elections, state court reform, proportional representation, and/or government administration reform.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from a variety of ideological backgrounds.
  • Strong writer and communicator with ability to convey complex concepts concisely; self-starter and strategic decision-maker.
