How to Apply for (Senior) Manager, Right-Fit Evidence
at Innovations for Poverty Action
🏢 About Innovations for Poverty Action
Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a global research and policy nonprofit that uses rigorous evidence to inform and scale effective solutions to poverty. Its unique approach of embedding randomized evaluations within real-world programs makes it a leader in evidence-based policy, offering a chance to work at the intersection of research and practice in a mission-driven environment.
About This Role
As a (Senior) Manager in the Right-Fit Evidence Unit, you will lead advisory engagements that help organizations design tailored monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems. This role combines strategic consulting with hands-on project management, directly influencing how evidence is used to improve programs in low-income settings.
💡 A Day in the Life
Your day might start with a check-in with your project team on a MEL advisory for a government client, followed by a virtual meeting with a prospective partner to discuss a new evaluation design. After lunch, you’d review a draft MEL framework, provide feedback to a junior advisor, and spend the late afternoon preparing a presentation for an upcoming conference on evidence use in policy.
