Mission
What you will drive
- Serve as lead counsel in church-state cases throughout the country, including trial and appellate litigation.
- Draft and edit pleadings, briefs, take depositions, deliver oral arguments, and prosecute appeals.
- Develop new cases by investigating facts and law, formulating strategies, and identifying plaintiffs.
- Guide, mentor, and train junior lawyers and legal interns; collaborate across departments on advocacy campaigns.

What makes you a great fit
- At least three years of litigation experience (judicial clerkship counts); ten years for Senior Litigation Counsel.
- Substantial experience as lead counsel (Senior) or demonstrated ability to assume that role (Litigation Counsel).
- Exceptional analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills; self-starter with ability to travel.
- Commitment to public interest, separation of religion and government, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
