Mission

What you will drive

  • Direct and coordinate the federal response litigation portfolio, including case selection, staffing, budget management, and supervision of pro bono counsel and partners.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies to defend the rights of unhoused persons against federal policies, including affirmative litigation and amicus filings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with grassroots organizations, national legal groups, and state attorneys general offices to inform movement lawyering and coalition work.
  • Translate federal policy changes and judicial orders for non-legal stakeholders and contribute to cross-movement advocacy.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • At least 10 years of attorney experience with 7+ years of civil litigation experience, including managing a litigation program or substantial portfolio.
  • Experience working with directly impacted individuals and grassroots organizations on litigation or policy advocacy.
  • Strong relationship-based competencies, budget management experience, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary range: $92,500 - $140,000 per year (based on years since law school graduation).
