Mission

What you will drive

  • Support new and existing corporate development opportunities for NextEra Energy Resources and affiliates in the Central Region, focusing on states like Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Texas.
  • Manage multifaceted environmental issues, licensing and permitting processes, and legislative development to provide management support.
  • Conduct environmental due diligence, siting, and acquire federal, state, regional, and local environmental approvals/permits for energy projects including wind, solar, battery storage, gas, data centers, and transmission.
  • Serve as subject matter expert resolving complex environmental matters and ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree in Environmental Science or similar preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in environmental support, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong experience in permitting (e.g., NEPA, utility siting, endangered species, waters of the U.S.), risk diligence, and mitigation.
  • Project management skills with ability to lead projects and consultants with limited direction.
