Mission
What you will drive
- Develop and write compelling grant proposals and reports, collaborating across programs to align with CIEL's mission and strategic priorities.
- Manage a portfolio of institutional donors, cultivating new foundation prospects and stewarding current funders to maximize funding potential.
- Coordinate with finance and program staff to meet grant budgeting, reporting, and compliance deadlines.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- At least 5 years of professional experience in institutional development/fundraising.
- Proven experience securing grants in the mid to upper six-figure range and managing a portfolio of grants with competing deadlines.
- Strong grant writing skills and ability to interpret grant budgets.
- Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple priorities concurrently.

What's in it for you
Salary range: $75,000-$90,000 (12.5% increase applies in Switzerland). Remote work within specific US states, Washington DC, or Geneva, Switzerland. Position is included in the CIEL staff unit of the Washington Baltimore News Guild union.
