Senior CAD Designer

• Collaborate with Development Engineers and Engineering Managers to produce preliminary AutoCAD site plans, layouts, and design packages for solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
• Generate drawings that comply with company standards, follow quality control procedures, and provide civil and electrical construction details.
• Integrate and analyze field survey data, generate Bill of Materials from CAD drawings, and work independently or with a team to meet deadlines.

This role directly contributes to expanding AES's portfolio of renewable energy power plants, accelerating the global transition to a net-zero future by designing solar PV and BESS projects that provide clean, carbon-free energy.

• 2-year AAS degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or equivalent.
• 5+ years of drafting/design experience in the solar PV or renewable industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, familiarity with solar PV designs, site layouts, and electrical plans.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and shapefiles.

Salary range: $83,000 - $99,450/year (USD). Total compensation includes annual bonus. Benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off (vacation, sick leave, parental leave).
