How to Apply for Senior Business Development Manager

at Women First Digital

๐Ÿข About Women First Digital

Women First Digital (WFD) is a fully remote femtech organization that operates safe2choose.org, a global hub for abortion seekers, and other digital platforms reaching millions annually with accurate reproductive health information and counseling. Working here means joining a diverse, mission-driven team where you directly contribute to expanding access to abortion and contraception through innovative digital solutions.

About This Role

As Senior Business Development Manager, you will lead fundraising and partnership efforts to sustain and grow WFD's digital initiatives, including safe2choose and its AI-driven chatbot Ally. You'll be responsible for identifying new funding opportunities, cultivating donor relationships, and developing proposals that align with WFD's mission, directly impacting the organization's ability to serve millions worldwide.

๐Ÿ’ก A Day in the Life

A typical day might involve researching potential grant opportunities, drafting a proposal for a new donor, and meeting with the team to align on fundraising priorities. You could also spend time cultivating relationships with existing donors, analyzing fundraising data, and collaborating with communications to develop campaign materials.

๐ŸŽฏ Who Women First Digital Is Looking For

  • Proven track record in fundraising or business development, ideally in the nonprofit, femtech, or reproductive health sector, with experience securing grants or major gifts.
  • Strong understanding of reproductive health, rights, and justice issues, and comfort working in a fully remote, multicultural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish, French, or another language relevant to WFD's regions is a strong plus.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate effectively across time zones.

๐Ÿ“ Tips for Applying to Women First Digital

1

Highlight any experience fundraising for digital health, women's rights, or abortion accessโ€”WFD values sector-specific knowledge.

2

Quantify your fundraising achievements (e.g., amounts raised, number of donors secured) to demonstrate impact.

3

Show familiarity with WFD's platforms, especially safe2choose.org, and mention how your skills can support their growth.

4

Address your ability to work remotely and across cultures; WFD's team spans Latin America, North America, West Africa, and Europe.

5

If you speak additional languages, explicitly state your proficiency level and how it can help WFD reach more users.

โœ‰๏ธ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter
