Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

• Write, review, and maintain code primarily in Ruby (Rails + Hotwire) to bring automation to solar development, solar value evaluation, and loan servicing systems.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline for rapid deployment of well-tested code.
• Collaborate with Product team to identify high-leverage solutions and shape architectural philosophy and technical direction.

This role directly accelerates the deployment of solar energy, helping businesses, municipalities, and schools save money while reducing carbon emissions. Each solar system offsets hundreds of thousands of pounds of coal burned annually.

• 5+ years of experience designing and building high-quality backend systems.
• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and familiarity with Heroku, AWS, CircleCI.
• Excited about cleantech and motivated to build technology for clean energy future.
• Team-oriented, thrives in fast-paced environment, and believes no problem is too hard.
