Senior Backend Engineer

• Design and implement new backend services and serverless code in Rust and Python
• Drive the transformation of system architecture to meet business needs and scale
• Maintain and improve the Qwello backend as part of the backend team
• Work in close collaboration with partners to integrate services

This role directly contributes to the transition from combustion to electric vehicles by building and scaling the backend infrastructure for public charging stations across Europe, accelerating the adoption of sustainable transportation.

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer implementing complex, larger projects
• Expert-level Python implementation skills
• Experience with Rust is a big plus; willingness to learn is a must
• Solid experience with architecting and implementing distributed systems
• Hands-on off-premise cloud experience, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud via IaC (Terraform)
