Senior Backend Engineer, Platform

• Build the connector framework and ingestion services that unify enterprise systems into a canonical model.
• Design and implement reliable synchronization strategies with watermark management for graceful failure recovery.
• Optimize performance for high-volume data synchronization, focusing on PostgreSQL, concurrent fetching, and batch upserts.
• Define and monitor observability metrics for throughput, data drift, and error rates.

This role directly enables sustainable air mobility by building the foundational data platform that integrates enterprise systems, ensuring Archer's all-electric aircraft operations are efficient, reliable, and scalable.

• 6+ years in backend engineering building and operating distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency in Go (or similar strongly typed language) and concurrency.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with idempotent systems, dead-letter queues, backpressure management, and delta syncs with watermark tracking.
