Scientific Community-Building Fellow

• Create an outreach strategy to engage critical and underrepresented disciplines in plant-based meat research.
• Map key disciplines, individuals, and forums; build outreach materials and support engagement with stakeholders.
• Synthesize findings into a final report and present to GFI's Science and Technology team.

This role helps build a community of scientists from diverse disciplines to solve technical barriers in plant-based meat research, accelerating the development of sustainable protein sources that benefit the planet, people, and animals.

• Fluency in physical sciences or engineering disciplines, demonstrated by a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or at least 3 years of academic research.
• Ability to translate technical concepts across disciplines and communicate professionally with scientific and lay audiences.
• Strong skills in analyzing literature and data; experience planning scientific events or community-building preferred.

Part-time temporary position: 15 hours/week for 16 weeks. Pay rate: $7200 total, paid pro-rata biweekly ($30/hour). Remote work within the United States. Inclusive work environment with commitment to diversity and fair hiring.
