Mission
What you will drive
- Assist TU program and project managers with planning and managing engineering work completed by outside consultants, including crafting scopes, budgets, and schedules, reviewing project designs/deliverables, and providing construction oversight.
- Collaborate with existing engineers and national restoration center staff to build a sustainable internal engineering services division within the organization.
- Conduct stream geomorphic surveys, stream habitat assessments, aquatic passage assessments, and topographic surveys using total station and/or GPS equipment.
- Prepare construction-level designs for stream restoration and conservation projects, including cost estimates, specifications, and drawing sets in Civil 3D, and serve as Engineer of Record.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure, or ability to promptly gain licensure, in Colorado and other nearby states.
- Advanced education in hydraulic, civil, environmental, or biological systems engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience; M.S. preferred, B.S. required.
- Extensive experience with stream restoration, fish passage, and watershed conservation projects, including natural channel design and large wood addition techniques.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivated with excellent time-management, and willingness to travel and work in variable weather conditions.
