Research Scientist II

• Lead and execute funded research projects in materials informatics, including data processing, machine learning model building, and active learning workflows.
• Manage technical aspects of funded programs and collaborations with universities, national labs, and companies.
• Contribute to scientific publications, proposals, and presentations at conferences.
• Interface with core technical teams to facilitate knowledge transfer.

This role accelerates the development of sustainable materials through AI and data-driven innovation, directly contributing to a more sustainable planet and industry.

• Ph.D. in materials science or chemistry, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, optimization, and AI methods applied to materials or chemistry.
• Exceptional communication skills and enthusiasm to own projects end-to-end.
• Demonstrated programming skills (Python preferred) and experience authoring peer-reviewed articles.

Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000 USD annually.
