Research Lead - AI Security Policy

• Lead research projects on AI security policy, analyzing threats and policy responses.
• Produce high-impact reports and briefings for policymakers and stakeholders.
• Manage a team of researchers and contribute to RAND's strategic direction in AI security.

This role shapes national and global policies to ensure AI systems are secure and aligned with human values, reducing risks from malicious use or accidents.

• PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., political science, computer science, security studies).
• Deep expertise in AI security, cybersecurity, or international security policy.
• Strong record of published research and policy engagement.
• Experience leading research teams and managing projects.
