Job description
Role details
Build and advise on speech AI systems for early literacy assessment in real classroom environments with children's voices.
- Provide technical strategy and guidance on speech model selection, fine-tuning, and deployment architecture for education teams.
- Fine-tune modern speech foundation models for children's speech, including phoneme recognition and pronunciation scoring in noisy classrooms.
- Design end-to-end speech data pipelines with privacy safeguards; evaluate systems beyond standard metrics for fairness and robustness.
- Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to translate product needs into technical requirements and communicate system limitations clearly.
- Requires PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field; or Master's degree with strong production ASR/speech-processing experience.
