Research Analyst

• Identify clean energy projects and ordinances requiring local approvals by analyzing public information, datasets, government notices, and news reports.
• Write research briefs, memos, and reports on campaign opportunities, decision-makers, and communities using established templates.
• Research and analyze legal and regulatory frameworks at local and state levels to explain project approval processes.
• Collaborate with research, campaigns, communications, and partnership staff to develop strategic research products.

This role directly supports the clean energy transition by enabling local permitting approvals for clean energy projects, helping to advance gigawatts of clean power to the grid and combat climate change.

• Demonstrated skill in identifying and using information sources in new research areas, including places with limited published information.
• Ability to summarize and present data and technical information in a user-friendly manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and curiosity.
• Willingness to think creatively, take risks, and iterate.

Base annual salary: $50,000 - $70,000. Benefits include 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited paid time off, monthly technology stipend, and retirement contributions through 401k and Roth plans.
