Mission
What you will drive
- Provide legal services to support and defend rail-trails and multiuse trails against legal threats, including litigation and administrative advocacy.
- Advise RTC policy staff on legislative and regulatory actions affecting railbanking and trail conversions.
- Develop and oversee a network of pro-bono lawyers for litigation support.
- Provide corporate general counsel services, including contract review and nonprofit governance advice.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- At least seven years of relevant legal experience, including litigation and/or administrative advocacy before federal courts and agencies.
- Authorized to practice law in the District of Columbia.
- Knowledge of federal railroad regulations and rail-trail conversion legal issues is desirable but not required.
- Experience with nonprofit clients and corporate governance matters.
