Job description

Role details

At TOMRA Food, we're looking for a customer-focused Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex customer projects across Australia.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and can confidently coordinate people, resources, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes. You'll take ownership of projects from handover through to customer acceptance, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

We are seeking a hands-on project leader who is comfortable working autonomously, navigating ambiguity, and driving results through collaboration rather than technical expertise alone. Experience delivering large-scale projects in industries such as food processing, manufacturing, construction, mining, utilities, infrastructure, or related sectors will be highly regarded.

This role will be remotely based in the Brisbane area, with a preference for candidates located near a major airport to support travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the contract between TOMRA and customers, ensuring project delivery within time, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction goals
  • Oversee project processes, ensuring documentation, reporting, and adherence to timelines
  • Develop project plans, including resource requirements, and lead a project team to deliver contracted outcomes
  • Manage contract scope, variations, and monitor progress, keeping all stakeholders informed
  • Communicate project plans, progress, and timing with customers, managing their expectations and responsibilities
  • Monitor milestones and ensure project tasks are completed and documented throughout the lifecycle
  • Consult with experts to manage compliance risks and engage third parties as needed
  • Proactively manage cash flow and financial goals
  • Document lessons learned and perform root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions
  • Deliver project handovers and compliance documentation
  • Conduct project reviews with department leaders and project teams, evaluating risk, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Promote a โ€œSafety Firstโ€ culture throughout the company, our customers, and our industryย
