HITACHI ENERGY

About HITACHI ENERGY

Hitachi Energy is a global leader in sustainable energy, driving the transition to a carbon-neutral future through innovative power grids, electrification, and digital solutions. Working here means contributing to cutting-edge projects that power communities and industries, with a strong focus on sustainability and technological advancement. The company's commitment to diversity and global collaboration makes it an inspiring place for professionals passionate about energy transformation.

About the role

As a PMO Specialist, you will be the backbone of project governance and change management for a global IT organization, ensuring projects are visible, well-communicated, and aligned with business goals. You'll work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and leaders to drive successful adoption of new ways of working, directly impacting the efficiency and success of Hitachi Energy's digital initiatives. This remote role based in Krakow offers the chance to bring structure to complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, sustainable energy environment.

A typical day

Your day might start with a global project status meeting, where you review progress and flag risks to stakeholders. Later, you could be analyzing project data to prepare a governance report for leadership, then facilitating a workshop to help a team adopt a new tool. You'll balance independent work with collaborative sessions, all while ensuring projects stay on track and aligned with business objectives.

Who HITACHI ENERGY is looking for

  • 3-5 years of experience in PMO, project coordination, or change management within IT or technology-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of project governance frameworks, reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Jira), and change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across global teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to bring structure to ambiguity while managing multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies, and experience supporting business transformation initiatives.

Tips for this application

  • Highlight any experience with project governance and change management in IT settings, using specific metrics (e.g., 'improved project visibility by X% through new reporting dashboards').
  • Tailor your resume to include keywords from the job description such as 'project governance', 'stakeholder engagement', 'change management', and 'global IT organization'.
  • Emphasize remote work experience and your ability to collaborate effectively across time zones, as the role is remote but based in Krakow.
  • Research Hitachi Energy's sustainability initiatives and mention how your PMO skills can support their carbon-neutral mission in your cover letter.
  • If you have experience with tools like Power BI, Jira, or change management frameworks, explicitly list them and describe how you've used them to drive project success.

What to cover in your cover letter

['Your ability to bring structure and clarity to complex, global IT projects, with examples of improved project visibility or decision-making.', 'Experience in supporting change management and adoption of new ways of working, ideally in a transformation context.', 'Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in remote, cross-cultural environments.', "Passion for sustainable energy and alignment with Hitachi Energy's mission to advance a carbon-neutral future."]
