Product Manager, Tanager

• Oversee the evolution and scaling of Planet's hyperspectral data products, setting clear strategy and making principled tradeoffs to drive revenue growth as the constellation scales.
• Drive commercial growth by expanding foothold in the methane market and evolving the product portfolio into new markets to find product-market fit.
• Build and maintain the Product Roadmap for the Hyperspectral Offering, synthesizing inputs from customers and internal stakeholders while making clear prioritization decisions aligned with company strategy.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Science, and Commercial teams, ensuring clarity of direction while navigating ambiguity.

This role enables Planet to monitor global emissions through hyperspectral data, supporting climate action and environmental conservation by providing actionable insights for commercial, government, and non-profit users.

• 5+ years as a power-user of satellite imagery, remote sensing and GIS, preferably with experience using hyperspectral imagery.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity, assess risk, and make high-quality decisions with incomplete data.
• Experience in an industry where advanced sensing could be applied such as defense, atmospheric sciences, agriculture, energy, environmental conservation or geology.
• Outstanding executive communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

US base salary range: $127,000 - $180,600 USD depending on location.
