Power Systems Engineer I

• Perform power system studies including short-circuit, load-flow, arc flash, protective device coordination, ampacity, grounding, harmonic analysis, and power quality assessments for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Design collection systems, including cable routing and sizing, and contribute to equipment specifications for solar PV, battery energy storage, and substation facilities.
• Create written reports and presentations describing studies performed and solutions developed, ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes.

This role directly supports the safe and reliable integration of solar PV and battery energy storage systems into the grid, accelerating the clean energy transition and contributing to the fight against climate change.

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (academic projects, internships, co-ops, or entry-level engineering).
• Foundational understanding of power systems concepts (load flow, short circuit, protection, grounding, renewable energy).
• Strong interest in power systems engineering and renewable energy; detail-oriented with efficient time management.
