How to Apply for Oracle Project Manager

at HITACHI ENERGY

🏢 About HITACHI ENERGY

Hitachi Digital Services is the digital transformation arm of Hitachi, focused on powering good through technology—from future-proofing urban spaces to conserving natural resources. Unlike typical IT consultancies, Hitachi combines deep operational technology (OT) expertise with IT to deliver sustainable energy solutions, making it a unique place for those passionate about carbon-neutral innovation. Employees join a people-centric culture where diverse perspectives and life experiences are valued as much as technical skills.

About This Role

As an Oracle Project Manager, you’ll lead complex Oracle Fusion Cloud transformations for clients, working with cross-functional teams spanning functional, technical, data, integration, testing, and change management. You’ll be the linchpin ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the high-quality standards Hitachi is known for. This role directly contributes to Hitachi’s mission of advancing sustainable energy systems by enabling clients to modernize their operations.

💡 A Day in the Life

A typical day might involve leading a stand-up with your distributed project team, resolving a critical integration issue with a third-party partner, and presenting a status update to client executives. You’ll balance strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving, ensuring that the Oracle Cloud transformation stays on track and delivers value to the client. Collaboration is constant—you’ll interact with functional leads, technical architects, and change managers to keep everyone aligned.

🎯 Who HITACHI ENERGY Is Looking For

  • Proven experience managing full-cycle Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations (ERP, EPM, SCM, or HCM), ideally in a consulting or client-facing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones, and manage third-party partners.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project) to drive delivery excellence.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging executive leadership and translating technical concepts for business audiences.

📝 Tips for Applying to HITACHI ENERGY

1

Highlight specific Oracle Fusion Cloud modules you’ve managed (e.g., Financials, Supply Chain) and quantify project outcomes (e.g., 'delivered 15% efficiency gain').

2

Emphasize any experience with energy, utilities, or sustainability-focused clients, as Hitachi’s mission centers on carbon-neutral solutions.

3

Show familiarity with Hitachi Digital Services’ Oracle practice by referencing their collaborative, multi-disciplinary team structure in your resume or cover letter.

4

Demonstrate remote work proficiency: mention tools and strategies you’ve used to manage distributed teams effectively.

5

If you have experience with third-party partners or system integrators, explicitly state how you’ve managed those relationships to ensure seamless delivery.
