Mission
What you will drive
Action for Women’s Empowerment (AWE) Global is a Canadian charity working internationally to advance women’s economic empowerment. We are looking for a sharp, organized Operations Manager to take increasing responsibility for the day-to-day running of the organization — freeing up our Executive Director to focus more on strategy, partnerships and external leadership. This is a flexible role with meaningful responsibility, autonomy and room to grow. Areas of Responsibility The Operations Manager will help keep AWE’s core operational areas running smoothly. Volunteers & interns: Recruiting and overseeing people who can take responsibility for and/or support appropriate work across the operational areas below. Programs: Supporting the planning, coordination and follow-up needed to keep AWE’s programs running smoothly, including timelines, logistics, partner communication and related documentation. Fundraising/donor relations: Assuring that fundraising targets are met through effective donor engagement, campaigns and other fundraising activities. Communications: Keeping newsletters, social media, donor updates and other recurring communications moving. Bookkeeping, budgets & administration: Overseeing bookkeeping, budgeting, and routine administration, filings, etc, on track. A key part of the role is using AWE’s volunteer capacity strategically — identifying work that can be delegated and providing enough structure and follow-up to ensure it gets done. An early priority will be to organize and document AWE’s recurring operational processes so that responsibilities, timelines and key information are easy to follow and maintain.
