Mission
What you will drive
- Cultivate and build relationships with the Equal Justice Works community of sponsors, host organizations, alumni, and law schools on the west coast.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of sponsors and prospective funders responsible for approximately $2 million to $3 million in annual fellowship funding commitments.
- Develop and implement strategic cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and retention plans to achieve annual fundraising and sponsor engagement goals.
- Serve as a regional lead of the Design Your Own Legal Fellowship Program, managing and growing a portfolio of longstanding and new Fellowship sponsors.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- JD and legal work experience required; law firm or in-house legal department pro bono experience preferred.
- Five or more years of progressively related experience in fundraising, donor relations, sponsorship management, business development, external affairs, or relationship management.
- Knowledge of the public interest law sector required, including understanding of social justice issues and familiarity with nonprofit organizations.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to juggle multiple projects, problem-solve, and operate independently as well as in a team environment.
