Candidates with specific knowledge and experience in MN are encouraged to apply. Who We Are CEED is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We envision a United States where a just transition has transformed our economy and democratic processes to benefit communities and the environment. The Midwest is leading the way by centering community needs to drive policy and implementation decisions all the way to the National level. Our mission is to create partnerships and coalitions that build the power necessary to advance a just transition grounded in environmental justice, climate justice, and energy democracy. We work to ensure those most impacted by climate change and the fossil fuel economy can actively participate in developing, winning, and implementing environmental policies that address community needs. We build power by building and leading effective, well-resourced, and cross-sector coalitions—and by supporting this work through building organizing capacity, policy and research, and narrative change—so that communities can lead just climate solutions that protect people and the planet. Our organizational values are: Visionary, Compassionate, Pragmatic, Mutually Accountable, Integrity, and Invested in Community. Manage and engage with CEED staff, partners, and consultants to advance programmatic goals and strategies. Help design and advance MN work in alignment with CEED’s Strategic Framework. As needed, build and run coalitions and networks related to CEED’s MN strategic priorities. Policy and Research: Partner with internal and external stakeholders in identifying research, analysis, and policy goals to further CEED’s organizational goals in Minnesota and the Midwest. Regularly translate complex policy and technical issues into useful information for CEED staff, community partners, and policymakers. Resource Development and Deployment: Collaborate with community partners and CEED staff to develop and deploy resources (e.g., infographics, fact sheets, template campaign plans) to further CEED’s programmatic goals in Minnesota and the Midwest. Data tracking and Analysis: Track progress towards goals in programs through tools such as CEED’s CRM. Formulate, build, and maintain a landscape analysis and other reports of EJ in Minnesota.
