How to Apply for MEL & Application Coordinator
at Gratitude Network
🏢 About Gratitude Network
Gratitude Network is a unique nonprofit that accelerates the impact of social sector leaders worldwide through a structured 13-month Fellowship, combining coaching, strategy tools, and a global community. Working here offers the chance to support over 280 organizations across 130 countries, directly contributing to sustainable social change.
About This Role
As the MEL & Application Coordinator, you will own the entire Fellowship application lifecycle—from outreach to candidate selection—while also designing and implementing the organization’s monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework. This dual role ensures high-quality program data and a seamless applicant experience, directly influencing which leaders are empowered and how program impact is measured.
💡 A Day in the Life
A typical day might start by reviewing new Fellowship applications in HubSpot, updating candidate statuses, and sending personalized follow-ups. Mid-day, you could analyze survey data from recent cohort check-ins, preparing a dashboard for the program team. The afternoon might involve coordinating logistics for an upcoming virtual event—like a webinar for prospective applicants—and meeting with the MEL team to refine indicators for the next cycle.

📝 Tips for Applying to Gratitude Network
Tailor your resume to highlight both M&E experience (e.g., logic models, data dashboards, impact reports) and recruitment/application coordination (e.g., managing applicant pipelines, CRM workflows).
In your cover letter, explicitly connect your past work to Gratitude Network’s mission of empowering nonprofit leaders—mention any experience with social sector organizations if possible.
Showcase your HubSpot or similar CRM skills by listing specific tasks like automating email sequences, tracking applicant stages, or generating reports.
Provide a concrete example of how you used data to improve a program or process—this demonstrates the analytical and learning mindset central to the MEL role.
Research the 13-month Fellowship structure and mention how you would streamline the application process or enhance data collection for their existing cohort model.
