Market Development and Public Policy Manager

• Lead EVgo's policy engagement and external affairs with state agencies, legislatures, and local governments.
• Draft written testimony in regulatory proceedings and serve as an expert witness on EV charging and rate design.
• Develop policy positions and strategy, manage outside counsel, and build coalitions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate policy outcomes into business operations and support commercial teams.

This role accelerates the adoption of electric vehicles by shaping policies that expand charging infrastructure, reduce emissions, and promote equitable access to clean transportation.

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's; or 3 years with a PhD.
• Experience with lobbying disclosure forms and compliance, navigating regulatory dockets, and public speaking.
• Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills; ability to interpret utility tariffs and regulations.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills; self-starter with ability to lead teams.

Competitive base salary ($122,100 - $152,600 USD), discretionary target cash bonus, restricted stock units, comprehensive health/life/disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and 401(k).
