Manager - Finance & Accounting

• Own day-to-day accounting operations and month-end/year-end close across multiple entities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, intercompany accounting, and multi-currency transactions.
• Coordinate statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audits across jurisdictions (Dutch and US), ensuring timely and accurate filings.
• Maintain and improve financial systems (Sage Intacct), internal controls, and accounting procedures to support a scalable finance function.
• Prepare financial reports, management accounts, budget-versus-actual analysis, and support grant compliance and donor reporting.

This role ensures the financial integrity and sustainability of a global network that helps over 100 cities build resilience against climate, social, and economic challenges, enabling effective programs that strengthen urban communities worldwide.

• At least five years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated ownership of month-end and year-end close.
• Working knowledge of either Dutch or US accounting standards and regulatory requirements, with willingness to learn the other.
• Experience coordinating statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audits with external advisors.
• Strong attention to detail, internal-controls mindset, and ability to work independently in a multi-entity, international environment.
