Major Gifts Officer

• Manage and grow a portfolio of ~300 major gift prospects and donors with the capacity to give $10,000+ annually.
• Develop tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies aligning donor interests with Gift of Adoption's mission and funding priorities.
• Identify, research, and qualify new prospective major donors through networking and outreach.
• Create and execute individualized solicitation plans to secure annual, multi-year, campaign, endowed and planned gifts.

This role directly enables more children to achieve the stability and love of a permanent family by securing transformational gifts that fund adoption grants and organizational capacity.

• 6+ years of experience in major gifts, individual giving, or related nonprofit fundraising.
• Demonstrated success securing gifts of $10,000+ and managing a relational donor portfolio.
• Exceptional interpersonal, relationship-building, and storytelling skills.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
