How to Apply for Listening Session Facilitator (Temporary Contract Opportunity)

at RISE Partnership

๐Ÿข About RISE Partnership

RISE Partnership is a mission-driven organization that uniquely combines caregiver support with equitable workplace solutions. Its Uplift Oregon program directly serves Oregon's public employees, making it an ideal place for those passionate about public service and social equity. The companyโ€™s focus on REDI, REALD, and SOGI frameworks shows a deep commitment to inclusive practices.

About This Role

As a Listening Session Facilitator, you will lead virtual sessions with State of Oregon employees to gather critical feedback on benefits education and navigation. Your work will directly shape how public employees access and understand their benefits, making a tangible impact on their well-being. This role is a temporary contract opportunity that offers flexibility and the chance to influence systemic improvements.

๐Ÿ’ก A Day in the Life

Your day might start with a check-in with Uplift Oregon staff to co-design the session agenda and review equity protocols. Then you'd facilitate a 90-minute virtual listening session with 8-12 Oregon employees, using breakout rooms and polls to gather feedback. After the session, you'd debrief with the team and begin coding the qualitative data into themes, preparing a summary for the next co-design meeting.

๐ŸŽฏ Who RISE Partnership Is Looking For

  • Experienced facilitator with a track record of leading virtual group discussions, especially in dual moderator or neutral third-party roles.
  • Deeply knowledgeable about equity-centered engagement practices, particularly REDI, REALD, and SOGI frameworks, and can apply them in real-time.
  • Skilled at creating psychologically safe spaces for diverse populations, including Black, Brown, Indigenous, and disabled individuals.
  • Comfortable with qualitative data synthesis, able to distill themes and provide actionable recommendations from raw data.

๐Ÿ“ Tips for Applying to RISE Partnership

1

Highlight specific examples of facilitating sessions with government employees or public sector workers, especially in Oregon if possible.

2

Explicitly mention your experience with REDI, REALD, and SOGI frameworks in your resume and cover letter, using the exact terminology.

3

Demonstrate your ability to handle sensitive topics like benefits navigation by describing past work with employee benefits or similar systems.

4

Show your data synthesis skills by providing a brief example of how you turned qualitative feedback into actionable themes.

5

Tailor your application to emphasize remote facilitation experience, including tools you use (e.g., Zoom, Miro) and how you maintain engagement virtually.
